Creative learning … working towards a definition
(As defined by Learning: creative approaches that raise standards; Oftsed Report, January 2010)
Creative learning is widely understood to be characterised by:
· questioning and challenging;
· problem solving;
· building confidence in the individual;
· making connections and seeing relationships;
· envisaging what might be;
· exploring ideas, keeping options open;
· reflecting critically on ideas, actions and outcomes.
Might this help with our definition of creativity in the broadest sense and not just in an arts context?

What do these characteristics tell us about our own definitions of 'creativity'?
